Privacy Policy

Coord provides a mobile app for coordinating group trips. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices users have.
In this policy
Information We Collect
- Account and profile information: first name, last name, email address, and account identifier.
- Trip coordination data: trip titles, destinations, trip dates, requirements, due dates, membership-related data, status updates, and optional notes that users enter in the app.
- Notification-related data: push notification token(s) used to send app notifications.
- Analytics and usage data: we use Amplitude to collect anonymous usage events (such as account creation and sign-in) and automatically collected device-level data, including device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country derived from IP address. IP addresses are processed by Amplitude but are not stored by Coord directly.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage user accounts
- To support trip planning and coordination features
- To manage trip membership and requirement status
- To send app notifications related to trip coordination and reminders
- To understand how the app is used and improve it over time
- To support account deletion requests and related account management functions
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We use third-party service providers to operate the app:
- Firebase (Google): for authentication, cloud database, and cloud functions. Firebase processes account data, trip data, and push tokens on our behalf.
- Expo: for push notification delivery. Push tokens and notification content (including trip and requirement details) are transmitted to Expo's servers to send notifications to your device. Expo's privacy policy is available at expo.dev/privacy.
- Amplitude: for analytics. Amplitude receives usage event data and device-level information as described above. Amplitude's privacy policy is available at amplitude.com/privacy.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app and its features, unless a user deletes their account or applicable law requires otherwise.
Account Deletion
Users can request deletion of their account from within the app.
Users may also visit delete.coord-app.com for deletion-related information.
In some cases, deletion may be temporarily blocked if the account is the owner of an active shared trip. Removing your account while others are still members of that trip is not currently supported.
Children
Coord is not directed to children.
